Having a healthy diet during pregnancy is very essential as it depends on the growth and development of your baby.

In order to meet nutritional requirements, a pregnant woman should include fruits, vegetable and whole grains. There are certain fruits which are
good for your health and baby..but do you know there are certain fruits which are not safe to eat while pregnancy as they may affect you and your
baby's growth. Here is the list of fruits which you should not eat while you are pregnant and should be avoided.

1. Papaya

Papaya comes first in the list to avoid eating during pregnancy. Raw Papaya contains latex which can trigger uterine contractions and hence, very dangerous for the baby.Eating raw papaya during early pregnancy can cause uterine contractions and miscarriage. Hence, Papaya is a big NO for pregnant woman.

2. Pineapple

Pineapple is also a Strict No during early pregnancy as it also induce uterine contractions, miscarriages and early labor.The enzyme present in pineapple
makes the cervix softer and can result in early labor.Hence, it's better to avoid pineapple during your pregnancy.

3. Tamarind

Tamarind is a rich source of Vitamin C which is good for both mother and baby during pregnancy, if taken in moderate amount. Consuming tamarind in excess is not good which can lead to miscarriage, premature birth and it can also cause cell damage in the foetus.So, if you want to eat tamarind, consume it in moderate amount and avoid taking it during first trimester.

4. Dates

Dates are good to include in a healthy diet as they are rich in essential nutrients and vitamins, but pregnant woman is often advised to avoid dates. The reason for this is
that dates produce heat in the body and lead to uterine contractions. Consuming dates in moderate amount, say 2-3 per day is okay but more than that could affect adversely.

5. Canned Fruits or other items

Canned fruit juices, as they contains lot of preservatives should be avoided during pregnancy. Preservatives may affect badly to mother and baby both and lead to certain complications. Hence, it's always better to avoid canned food during the whole period of pregnancy.
